| Jackie Johnson`s "Step by Step Trick Training" to headline at 2009 Youth Extravaganza! | | 9/3/2009 | | | The 2009 Youth Extravaganza, co-hosted by
the Manitoba 4-H Program and the North American Equine Ranching Information Council (NAERIC), will take place on Friday, October 23, 2009 from 1:30 to 4:00 p.m. in the Keystone Agricultural Centre of Excellence, Brandon, Manitoba. This event, which is offered FREE to all pre-registered youth and youth group leaders, is being held in conjunction with the Wheat City Stampede – a weekend chock full of exciting equine events.
Saskatchewan clinician, Jackie Johnson, will offer her "Step by Step Trick Training" program using two light horses and a heavy horse in demonstration format. The clinic will be interactive, while Jackie focuses on safety and the relationship with your horse, to improve your horsemanship skills. A Safe Horse Handling Workshop is also being offered by Manitoba Agriculture, Food and Rural Initiatives, in Barn 3 at the Keystone Centre from 9:30 am to 12:00 noon, on Friday, October 23, 2009 in conjunction with the Wheat City Stampede weekend.
Manitoba clinician, Robert Moshenko, is a member of the American Association for Horsemanship Safety (AAHS), and trained under renowned horseman, Peter Campbell. Robert will present a workshop focusing on patient, gentle and safe horse handling, from haltering to trailer loading to riding.
